Maybe you've checked out our Meditation 101 animation, or tried one of our 28-day guided meditation tracks on Happify. Today, we're sharing a couple of delightful illustrations excerpted from artist Yumi Sakugawa's new book, There is No Right Way to Meditate.
When Sakugawa was 23 years old and feeling suffocated by her depression, she discovered mindfulness—and had the life-changing realization, "I am not my thoughts—but rather, the space in between my thoughts." With that, she embarked on a practice and started bringing to life, through her ink drawings, honest and funny truths about how we feel, how we think, and our continual struggle with just "being." Take a peek at some of our favorites from her book:
