A Mailman Hand-Built This Towering Palace Out of Nothing More Than Pebbles
Ferdinand Cheval, a mailman in Hauterives, France, could have never imagined that a lowly pebble he picked up on his route one day would change his life. Picking up that pebble sparked his creativity and he began crafting Le Palais Idéal. His vision would eventually turn into a hand-built 85-foot-long and 30-foot high palace made up of pebble-laden grottos. Ferdinand spent 33 years crafting this brilliant piece of art and it is simply stunning to behold.
