A Musician’s Plan to Give Away One Million Guitars to Disadvantaged Youth
Israeli guitarist David Broza has traveled the world spreading a message of love and unity. The master musician, singer, and songwriter has found another way to share his musical gifts—literally. Broza has founded One Million Guitars, an organization that aims to donate one million guitars to disadvantaged youth worldwide to give them a sense of meaning, purpose and joy that can come from creating music. The guitars, which cost about $100 each, are designed by a Tel Aviv guitar-maker and designed to fit smaller fingers. Each young student must complete two years of music lessons from a local partner organization in order to keep the guitar forever. Thus far, Broza has distributed about 2,000 guitars.
