After the Loss of His Arm, He Found His Purpose Through Archery
In 2008, Navy veteran Gabriel George lost his arm in a motorcycle accident. For a while he felt hopeless, but then he attended a summer clinic held for veterans where he took an archery lesson. George hit the target with his first-ever shot and immediately fell in love with the sport, it gave him a goal—something he hadn’t had in years. Now, with his sights set on competing in the Paralympics, George says his eyes are opened to all the things he can do.
