An Art Phenomenon Is Born Out of One Man’s Personal Battle with Injustice
Detroit native Richard Phillips spent 46 years of his life wrongly imprisoned for murder. But despite the unfair and tragic situation he was in, he chose not to simply waste those years of his life away. Instead he poured himself into creating art, where he found solace and hope. Now, at age 73, he’s putting his life’s work on display at his first exhibition where his paintings are going for thousands of dollars.
