According to the bystander effect, the more people there are in a group, the less likely it is that anyone will step in to help. People figure someone else will do it, and the end result is that nobody does anything. SoulPancake tested the bystander effect in this clever experiment: People were asked to react to products; but the real test was how many of these people would help a man set up the cumbersome products.
