Canadian Police Are Spreading Compassion and Joy By Issuing “Positivity Tickets”
In Nanaimo, Canada (population: 100,000), police officers are promoting positivity among their youth. They issue “positivity tickets” to local kids caught in the act of doing something good, like helping others, doing homework, or simply wearing a helmet. This positive ticket system is fostering a wonderful sense of community and compassion. As police force veteran Ward Clapham explains, it’s not about the ticket, but about a caring adult telling a child they’re worthy and a good person.
