At C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the staff has found an innovative way to encourage kids to connect and get out of their hospital beds: Pokemon Go. The fun gaming tool provides a welcome distraction, and alleviates the pain and stress of therapy and procedures. It also creates a level of normalization: the kids in the hospital can play the same game they hear about from their friends at home. Thanks to modern technology, ailing kids are getting up and playing with others!
