When Jane Golden was first hired in 1984 by the city of Philadelphia, she could have never dreamed of the massive impact her efforts would have. Originally started as a short-term program to help cover up the city’s graffiti problem, the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program has now created nearly 4,000 murals on the streets of the City of Brotherly Love.
