Far From Home, a Tired, Hungry Truck Driver Finds Kindness
With so many restaurants closed during the coronavirus pandemic, many truck drivers are encountering difficulty finding places to eat while on the road. One such driver, Justin Martin, ended up tired and hungry at the end of the day, with no open restaurants to be found. He approached Zach, a Wendy’s assistant manager, who was closing up for the night, and asked if there was any way he could buy something to eat. Although it was against company policy, the 19-year-old decided to break the rules and prepare a bag of food for Justin. When asked why he risked his job, the humble Zach says that being a good person outweighs any consequences.
