Life Is Meaningful for This Woman Who Juggles 6 Jobs in Her Community
Sarah Moore juggles six jobs a day—sometimes more. It may be difficult for people to understand how she manages it and why she enjoys it so much: She lives on the small island of North Ronaldsay off the coast of Scotland, where almost all of the 50 people who live there work multiple jobs to keep the island functioning. Sarah works as a postwoman, home care worker, council clerk, airfield attendant, baggage handler, firefighter, and even a shepherd. Sarah felt lonely and anonymous in Edinburgh, where she previously lived. On the small island, her life has more meaning and she enjoys being part of a small, caring community.
