How to Overcome Your Greatest Obstacle: Your Mind
In a freak accident in 2008, Colin O’Brady’s lower body was burned so badly that doctors doubted he’d walk again. In the hospital he felt hopeless, but his mother forced him to state a goal he wanted to achieve one day. Colin said a triathlon. At home, his mother told him he had to take one step and move out of his wheelchair. It took Colin three hours to take that one step, and eventually, he won his first triathlon. Eight years after the accident, Colin broke the two world records for climbing eight mountains, including Mt. Everest, and visiting the North and South Poles. Today, his message is this:if you can set a goal, you can overcome tragedy, as well as your greatest obstacle—your mind.
