When we're kids, we often have uninhibited creativity. We have the ability to let our imaginations wander and create things without hindrance. Unfortunately, as we age, at some point we seem to decide that we're either a “creative person” or more of an “analytical person.” David Kelley, founder of IDEO and a Stanford professor, suggests that no matter how analytical we may think we are, we all still have a creative side—we just tend to lose our confidence somewhere along the way.
