Who knew that crocheting could actually bring communities together? Agata Oleksiak moved to New York as a bright-eyed young student with no money, and somehow her crocheting caught a designer’s eye. From there, her career took off. What’s even more amazing is that she was raised in communist Poland—so her access to the arts was barely present until she made her way to America. Now, her crocheting inspires countless others, and communities all around the world have become involved in her massive installations.
