Students Lead the Way to Acceptance When a Student Is Bullied
Students at White Mountains Regional High School decided to promote kindness and ac-ceptance after one of their students was bullied. When Lily Kenison, an openly gay student, was harassed at a basketball game, her peers took action. Spearheading a Kindness Matters movement, they had rainbow flags at the next game, and teammates wore patches of support on their uniforms. "They want to go to a school where kids feel accepted, where kids are kind to each other," Vice Principal Jacob Hess says.
