When Terminally Ill Kids Have No One in Their Lives, This Foster Father Takes Over
Los Angeles foster father Mohamed Bzeek has fostered 80 terminally ill children in 20 years. He takes in children who have no family to give them love and support at the end of their lives. Most people don’t want to take in these children, but Bzeek believes it’s what he’s supposed to do. “They’re a human being; they have a soul. They have feelings,” he says. Even though it hurts him when he loses the children to their illnesses, he believes he should help them—and that we all should help each other. Thanks to Bzeek, these children know they are not alone. To date, a GoFundMe drive has raised almost $500,000 for Bzeek and his children.
