This 75-Year-Old Widower Has Found New Purpose in Ballet Class
Dancing was something Bernard Bibby did when he was courting his wife of 55 years, Celia. When she died five years ago, Bernard, decided to take a dance class to force himself to socialize. After failing to catch on at tap dancing, the 75-year-old former electrician found joy in ballet. The only man in the class, Bernard credits his fellow students with giving him support and keeping him from feeling “lost.” In addition to making him happier, Bernard says ballet has improved his posture and helped him stay fit and healthy.
