This Firefighter Shares the Experience That Taught Him No One Should Wait to Be a Hero
When volunteer firefighter Mark Bezos arrived at a fire, another volunteer had run in to save the woman’s dog, while he was asked to get her shoes. Bezos thought his act was small potatoes compared to saving the dog, but when the woman wrote a letter of thanks, she mentioned how appreciative she was that Bezos got her shoes. The lesson he learned was that there are acts of kindness on a grand scale and a small scale, but they all matter. So don’t wait until you feel you have enough resources in order to help someone; we all have something to give, so give it now.
