This Is as Close to Being an Astronaut as Most of Us Will Ever Be
When you’re disabled, it’s hard to imagine the sensation of being free, or of flying. But for a few very lucky kids, the chance to fly like an astronaut became a reality. The European Space Agency took eight kids and a couple of adults, all wheelchair-bound or disabled, up into the air for a special zero gravity flight. The initiative created smiles, delight, and amazing feelings of weightlessness in those who often feel pain or confinement every day.
