After 13 years in the Army, English soldier Simon Brown was shot in the face by a sniper in Iraq. Because the bullet injured most of his optic nerves, he had to leave the Army and figure out how to live without sight. He’s had dozens of reconstructive surgeries and gets stared at every day, but one little girl named Temperance Pattinson is bringing light into his life. Temperance raises money for triathlons and gives everything to injured soldiers. Like him, she wants to be brave and show that she’s proud of everything the soldiers do. Inspiration comes in so many forms, and both of these individuals are incredibly inspiring to us.
