This Shopkeeper Took the Time to Notice a Customer and His Empathy Changed a Life
When a young autistic man, Jack Ryan, came into a grocery store, he was fascinated when the storekeeper, Taylor, started restocking shelves. He kept focusing on the beverages being placed in the fridge and then Taylor asked him if he wanted to help. Jack Ryan was thrilled to lend a hand and now has a part-time job with the store. Jack Ryan’s sister was overwhelmed by Taylor’s calm, acceptance, and kindness: “He showed the world that if you just reach out and try, people with autism or any disability can do just as good of a job as long as there’s a person like Jordan who has that much empathy."
