What an Age-Old Scientific Theory Can Teach Us About Achieving Our Dreams
When we have a dream, often our first step is to seek validation from others that we’re on the right track. But sometimes, instead of encouragement, we encounter pushback that can stop us from moving towards what we want. In this inspirational talk, T.K. Coleman says that when we set out to achieve a dream we should remember Newton’s First Law of Physics, “An object at rest tends to stay at rest, while an object in motion tends to stay in motion.” This, says Coleman, teaches us that external forces—and other people’s opinions—can keep us where we are, and only by deciding to take action can we get to where we want to be.
